Åland Islands Travel Adapters

The Åland Islands are an autonomous archipelago located in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and mainland Finland. Although part of Finland, the islands operate with extensive self-government and have Swedish as their official language. The regional capital and main port is the town of Mariehamn.

The Åland Islands follow Finnish electrical standards, with mains electricity supplied at about 230 volts at 50 Hz. Wall outlets typically use the common European round-pin designs found throughout Finland, most commonly Type C and Type F sockets. Travelers from regions that use different plug types should bring a compatible or universal travel adapter, and visitors from 120-volt countries should confirm that their devices are labeled 100–240V before plugging in.
