China Travel Adapters

China is the largest country in East Asia and one of the most populous nations in the world. It borders fourteen countries and stretches from the Pacific Ocean in the east to the high plateaus of Central Asia in the west. The capital city is Beijing, while Shanghai is the country’s largest city and a major global financial center. China is known for its long history, ancient cultural sites such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, and a rapidly modernizing economy.

China uses mains electricity supplied at about 220 volts at 50 Hz. Wall outlets use Type A, Type C, and Type I sockets. Travelers from regions that use different plug types should bring a compatible travel adapter. Visitors should confirm that their electronic devices support 100–240V input or use an appropriate voltage converter if necessary.
